Brought to you by Pro Strongman coach Shane Jerman, the MST (Modified Strongman Training) Systems is a training system that uniquely blends various proven methods to enhance the overall strength of athletes.
Conjugate, Western linear periodization, and undulating periodization, combined with SAQ (speed, agility, quickness), bodyweight control, and perfect structural balance work, form the foundation of the MST System.
These methods have been utilized by renowned athletes such as Luke Richardson, Mark Felix, Ken McClelland, Shane Flowers, and Lucy Underdown (the first female to deadlift 300kg). Additionally, the system has successfully programmed athletes like New Zealand's Strongest Man Matthew Ragg, Worlds Competitor Rongo Keene, and numerous others.
Shane has coached title wins in various weight classes, notably achieving victories in names such as Britain's & Europe's Strongest Man u80kg, England's Strongest Man u90kg, England's Most Powerful Man u105kg, Europe's Strongest Man 2020, and England's Strongest Man 2021. Noteworthy accomplishments extend beyond the UK, including victories in competitions across Europe, the USA, Australia, and New Zealand.
The MST Systems app offers fully customizable programming with guidance for both off-season and competition peak training. It incorporates cycling phases of maximal strength, rep strength, technique/execution improvement, and specific event skill work, drawing from a library of over 250 exercises for a tailored regimen.
The app allows users to either run personalized programs or select from pre-built MST Systems phases to ensure measurable progress. These programs encompass a range of elements including log peak programs, deadlift peaks, and specialized routines designed for upcoming Strongman competitions such as England's Strongest Man qualifiers.
Furthermore, the "Learn" section features educational videos from industry experts to enhance Strongman Training. Movement specialist Chris Knott provides movement prep/activation drills for pre-sessions to optimize training outcomes. Conor Neilly, a respected figure in the supplement industry, offers detailed insights on various supplements to aid users in making informed decisions on their supplement intake.
